Goals & Tasks

1. Setting up a Thematic Network

The aim is to link the partners of the Research Alliance with each other, as well as with external partners, thus combining competence and stimulate the scientific discourse. The Leibniz Research Alliance “Sustainable Food Production and Healthy Nutrition” serves as joint platform on which recent initiatives and projects of the composite partners are presented and targeted approaches are developed.

2. Setting up Joint Projects

In order to address important scientific questions, the Research Alliance initiates and promotes the formation of projects, which are to serve the strategic development of interdisciplinary scientific questions. It is the aim to set up new innovative joint research projects within the domain of sustainable food production and healthy nutrition. These projects will be supported from the initial stages of the project proposals to the presentation of the research findings to the general public.

3. Transfer of Knowledge

The concentrated expertise, as well as the results of the Research Alliance are made accessible to the public via various channels, such as public events, conferences et cetera. This will encourage the discourse between science, political decision making and society.
